Hospital

Luckily I checked with the a&e receptionist this morning before waltzing into the room where I had left J. He’d been moved onto the medical assessment ward. When I arrived he was off oxygen and looked as bright as he has in the last few weeks. So the antibiotics are working.

A discussion with the consultant and they’re continuing with the intravenous antibiotics but will look at discharging J back to the nursing home when he can take oral antibiotics instead.

So positive all round. I popped back this evening with some clothes so that he won’t be discharged in hospital pyjamas (I’d brought his clothes away with me for a wash last night as they were damp).
