Shy tulips

I had to re-shoot these in poorer light  than I had this morning when I missed focus.

       I took Merlin the app along with me on the walk this morning and other than the ubiquitous western meadow larks, red winged blackbirds, and American robins it identified yellow warblers and spotted towhee (in the extras here)

       Later I took a drive up to Big Lake now the winding road up the hills behind us is open.
