The Library

On the go all day, welcoming the participants in the big conference to Edinburgh, doing a bit of desk work, attending a large "group" in the afternoon (after a lunch which mercifully included only a minimum of beetroot), popping out for a quick drink with some colleagues, and then joining in the big festive dinner for the conference in the Playfair in the evening. Home eventually after 10pm, having come out of Old College just in time to meet the crowds coming out of Hamilton in the Festival Theatre.

Just before lunch, I participated in an organised visit to uCreate, which is a makers' space in the main library. Lots of exciting gizmos, including the possibility of 3D printing, but also much more. Those who go in the Library more regularly than I do will recognise the slogan from the wall. I was really struck by it.
