Poison Ivy Everywhere

Its ridiculous that the city lets poison ivy grow like this, it is all over the wooded areas of the parks in NYC. A park ranger told me that its a native plant so they won't destroy it but I think thats BS. If a vine this large was growing up a utility pole in the middle of manhattan instead of here in the Bronx I bet it would be destroyed. I itch just looking at this monster.
