It's all about the Quakes or the Weather!

If you talk to anyone from Christchurch it's inevitable that they'll talk about the Quakes or the Weather, or both - and there's both in this image. We've been having some staunch Norwesterly winds over the last couple of days, with trees being blown over further inland, and amazing cloud formations in the sky. I blipped one lot of clouds yesterday and today have some more, together with the work going on rebuilding the causeway in the foreground. The roller coaster road surface there has been terrible since the quakes, so the work was needed urgently.

There's a lot of unhappiness about the causeway reconstruction. The road over it is closed of course, and the only detour is around McCormacks Bay. That road has become more and more potholed with all the rain plus the volume of traffic, including heavy trucks and buses. They've even filled up fadges with sand, for temporary pothole filling!!! Wending your way through the potholes is definitely blippable - I just haven't done it yet. Have got the title all sorted too ;) One day soon . . . . .

There are lots of people working away like beavers!
