Evening Sky
We should have been heading off to St Andrews this morning, so that BB could attend an offer holders day. Last night he decided he didn’t want to go, which I think really means he can’t be bothered. Anyway, he didn’t get out of bed this morning, so there was no way we were going anywhere fast.
I’m not sure where the morning went, but I finished packing stuff, and TT did the same and we got ourselves ready for a week away. We weren’t really sure whether BB was coming with us, but he did get out of bed, and he did pack a bag and we eventually headed off up the road, heading north. We left a lovely day behind, and the weather turned somewhat grey as we headed up the M90. We stopped for some late lunch, then continued on our way. As we got towards Aberdeenshire, we were pleased that the weather really brightened up again.
We eventually got to our destination on the Aberdeenshire, Moray coast. We struggled to find our holiday cottage, and I struggled with the “road” along which we were driving – right along the sea wall (with no barriers) – with a high tide. Thankfully TT was driving. Our instructions were useless, so we parked up and got our and went in search of it. We did find it – and in reality it would have been fairly easy to find, had the instructions been better written.
We unpacked the car, dumped the bags in the house, left BB to his own devices and TT and I went in search of a supermarket. That took us to Fraserburgh. We stocked up on essentials and bought provisions for tea. When we got back to our cottage, TT started cooking, while I went out to explore.
Later TT set himself up in the lower sitting room, which housed a massive TV, to watch a movie. Unknown to me he had purchased a boxset of James Bond movies, so he started at the beginning with Dr No.
This is the evening sky, looking north from the harbour.
