Folly Dolly Falls

Over to Meltham with MrM this morning for a sociable brunch with John and Marina. Then a short walk to Folly Dolly Falls. (Allegedly they were named after someone who used to live nearby, who threw herself off the falls after being jilted by a lover.) After all the recent rain we had thought that there might have been lots of water coming down the falls, but they were a little disappointing in that respect. It was a pleasant walk though, along a disused railway line.

Home to do a little more gardening before the rain started. Still raining when it was time to leave for the Soul Choir, so MrM gave me a lift in to Holmfirth on his way to the music session in Huddersfield. This week's singing was at the Picturedrome, as the choir were rehearsing for a gig there this coming Sunday. Too soon to join them for that after just two sessions! Damp and dark walking home afterwards - the newly installed streetlights towards the top of the hill hadn't come on.
