A GOOD Day

Bb has his first post op check this morning and everything was fine. They changed the bandages on his head and took away the chin strap and checked his leg too, where the skin was taken away for the skin graft. It was good to learn that they took away some other material from his scalp, near the main nasty bit, and so even if that shows up anything in the analysis, it’s all gone now. The one skin graft will cover it all. When we left the hospital and walked down the hill (where I got my blip), we both commented that it was the first time in a month that we felt we could let ourselves relax. We bought a few plants and veggies to celebrate. Next check up on Tuesday.

Dinner tonight was mashed potato, cheese and broccoli fritters, served with beans. Delicious and there are still six left for tomorrow. I’d make them again.

I did some marking this afternoon (a sign of normality) and it was a nice surprise to receive some flowers from Dot in Scotland.

All in all, a GOOD day.
