Isola Madre

A few eyebrows were raised by the boat owners when we booked to go to Isola Madre - for some reason most people do all three islands in the one trip, but for us that would have been too much.  The garden at Isola Madre is well worth a long visit  Quite different to Isola Bella, much bigger, and not as formal.  

The Palazzo is also informal, the art much more homely, but there's also a wonderful, world class, collection of Italian puppets and dolls.
