Peaceful Spot
I took part in an urban orienteering event in Thetford this morning - mainly through housing estates with lookalike closes and small greens with interconnecting paths and roads to the west of the town, total concentration a must! The course finished amongst the ruins of Thetford Priory - quite a contrast, though still tricky in places. All the town carparks seemed to be heaving when we arrived but we found a quiet spot down by the Little Ouse at Nuns' Bridges. From there it was a pleasant walk along the rivers (the Thet runs in parallel to the Little Ouse through the town, then the two join) to reach the event centre.
I had planned to take a photo of one of the old stone bridges but the view was partially obstructed by overhanging vegetation, so this is the view upstream along the Little Ouse towards the start of the BTO nature reserve. It's another phone shot, taken blindish as I couldn't see the screen properly in the sun, with the contrast, etc, gently improved in Lightroom afterwards.
