Look Out - There's A Human About!

The house and office fell silent for about an hour today as a new Smart Meter was fitted that sends data back to head office - no more meter readings required. You also get a little display gizmo that communicates with your meter that shows all manner of info such as power use.

The pure silence that fell when the power was off was strangely soothing. Not even the buzz of the fridge motor - no computers humming constantly. It was a lovely interlude.

Knowing that the men's quarter finals Wimbledon tennis will take up most of my attention for the rest of the day, I'm blipping early. I took a short, fast walk and startled this flock of pigeons (actually, I was just as startled).

It was a surprise to see yesterday's ladybird hit the spotlight - thank you knidly, fellow blippers.
