this dandy was taken in the car on the way back to the hotel in bangkok. it doesn't do the night scene justice in any way, but was one of the only photos i got today, so it'll have to do.

our company's hotel of choice is found along sukhumvit soi 11, one of the prime traffic areas of bangkok. it can be a pain to get to at times, especially when you've just come from an outside province after a long day at work, but it does have a way of waking you up again when you arrive.

this place has certainly grown a lot more in the past few years. trendier spots are infiltrating, destroying all of the old local haunts that were nice places just to stop in for a drink. some of the new abominations include the australian bar, as well as the manchester united bar - both sterile and just what many tourists are after. i'm okay with the change and all, just don't think i'll be in either too often though.
