Survivors
My beautiful blush pink tulips have miraculously survived the onslaught on the recent storms, and are now evolving into that slightly dishevelled state where petals roll up on themselves in a flourish of satin crepe.
The first of my tulip pot collections to bloom, they still provide a gentle counterpoint to the brasher pops of colour emerging from the more extrovert upstarts now coming into flower - and provide a temporary home for this ladybird. I’m unsure whether it’s a four-spot melanic form of the two-spotted ladybird, or a less friendly variation of a harlequin.
