‘Those Were the Days!’

In my dressing gown and feet up in slippers this morning, watching the London Marathon while looking out an old photo - taken exactly 40 years ago this year - of me finishing the London Marathon in 1984. 

It was one of six marathons I did in the 80s. This one was sponsored by Mars, who probably wouldn't be in the running to sponsor the event nowadays!

It was an unforgettable experience! 
Those were the days!
