Stepping up
Something I'd been intending to do after retiring, if not sooner, was to get back into the habit of aiming to do 10,000 steps a day. This had fallen by the wayside following our move a couple of years ago.
It was a really nice day to put that intention into practice. Down to the river, over the bridge, then walk to the end of the beach on the opposite side.
I had to remind myself not to stop for photos every fifty metres, given that in principle this walk is going to be a regular occurrence.
In the end I chalked up about 7,500 steps before breakfast.
Spent much of the rest of the day digging a new vegetable patch.
