Our Lilac

Wanted to record the huge lilac tree by our front door, but as a painting…So I told PS to make me an oil painting in the style of Manet.    I tried ipad drawing by David Hockney but didn’t like those.   I might try it tho.   ON the iPad.    The crabapples on the parkway are past their prime but they were spectacular too.  And I quite like the anchor of the lombardy poplar at the end of the block.

Extra: the blossoms…I think the white ones aren’t as fragrant as the purple.  And I just discovered these iris at the other end of the building….with the candytuft.
