Dickensian

Today was an experiment, I took a series of up close images of the village's best known building.  I deliberately set out to try and record images that convey a Dickensian feel.  Before 1919 the building was an orphanage and I imagine not a very happy place, so I wanted my image to convey that sense, I think the word brutality would be too strong.  So the image does not depict the full setting of the building, although if you go far enough back in my Blipfoto history you will find it.  I would be interested to hear what the image conveys to you!
