Ecclesiastical Surprise

We went for a walk around the village of Ashley today after a nice pub lunch. The church of St Mary the Virgin held an unexpected bonus for us in that we were not aware of the richness of the wall and ceiling decoration within. Aficionados of Church architecture and history would no doubt know what to expect but we were blessed with ignorance! The editing of the pics enhances the light and vibrancy of the colours but captures the delightful surprise we experienced.
