Caledonia
Today's the day ........................ for a 'blessing'
We called in at what we've always called 'The Gretna Gateway Outlet Village' on our way home after a visit to the opticians in Penrith. Apparently it's now called 'Caledonia Park Designer Outlet' - and certainly the shops all seem to have had a bit of a facelift. But, I have to say that there was something going on there today that really made us wish that we had had Tessa and Josie with us, because they would have loved it.
It was a Magical Unicorn Trail - unicorns being Scotland's national animal, of course. The one above is Caledonia, the leader, and the idea was to discover the names of all ten of her unicorn friends along the trail. The first letter of their names would spell out a word which you could enter into a competition to win an exclusive chocolate prize. It would have been right up Tessa's street.
Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to follow the trail ourselves - but I did learn one thing that could well be useful for a pub quiz one day. Did you know that the collective noun for a group of unicorns is (rather eloquently I think) - a 'blessing' ..................... ?
