Sunset

What a lovely ending to a lovely day.

After spending half the day at the swimming pool we came home to fix chicken burritos for dinner. Afterward, we loaded the bikes and got out to the park for a ride. Lewis immediately crashed, sending himself over his handlebars onto the sidewalk, but fortunately barely a scratch to cry about, which he did anyway as it was quite a shock. He mustered up a bit of courage and got back on the bike and we all enjoyed a fantastic evening working off dinner.

On the way home the sun turned into this amazing blood red bomb of a ball, setting the whole sky ablaze. I made my sweetheart stop the car so I could catch it in time, all the while Simon & Garfunkel's Kodachrome is blasting on the radio. How fitting.
