I made it out today for my longest walk since the surgery. It was good to get out and good to put my foot up for the rest of the evening. I felt pretty down yesterday about my limited mobility and the timing of this convalescence, but I feel a bit brighter today.

I have passed this street sign many times before and today wondered where it came from. I grew up in western Canada where many streets are numbered by streets and avenues - 109th street and 82nd avenue. Hence, I find streets that are named a source of curiosity. Turns out this alley name may come from the bells in the nearby docks that indicated quitting time. The pub in the link is just around the corner.
