Sunset seeding....

Dryish today. Max arrived up with the seeder to sow barley then oats in the field behind the steading that Neil ploughed yesterday. By 9 pm tonight he had it done.
Now hopefully just 20 acres next to the sand quarry which might be dry enough tomorrow.
2 cows calved during the night. Had to bring one in as she had big teats and the calf hadn't sucked. Managed to milk her out and the calf sucked the bottle. Tonight I got it sucking on one tit,so we are getting there, slowly.
The other cow ,H20, is a nut job,so after she finished facing me up this morning she headed off across the field with her calf trailing after her . It can get on with it as I'm getting too old to get killed .
Last year it took a fortnight and 3 bikes to get her in to tag her calf. If she's the same this year she might not see a bull again.
