Pocklington Canal

 wet start today but we set off anyway. Our lunch stop at Melbourne was closed so  carried on to Pocklington. After a good meal we investigated the Canal - constructed in 1815, disused from 1932 and neglected until 1969. It is now managed by the Canal & River Trust and is gradually being restored.  Although still a bit wet we did enjoy two walks.
