Maggot?

I caught this little chap but not till I uploaded the photo did I spot that he seems to have a maggot under his skin? Should I go and find him again and perform some surgery to remove it? Or perhaps it a medicinal maggot and removing some infection? All I do know is that its pretty gross. View the maggot in large!
