Dusk Flight
I drove Mrs. Scintilla and daughter Scintilla to the airport in Anchorage today so they with the crack Alaska state Science Olympiad team could fly en massse on a red eye to Wichita via Denver to the national competition. I was planning to blip some kind of airport departure theme, but nothing panned out. There was a lot of adolescent excitement all around along with parent trepidation, but as a participant, I couldn't capture it. After hugs and kisses, they were launched.
Deep in Chaos territory, I was in need of a blip with less than 1 1/2 hour to midnight. I was only a couple of minutes from one of his favorite haunts, Lake Hood. I snapped some low sun, lake reflection, plane shots. Then as I was leaving, this fella popped in for a late arrival. The shot was underexposed and there was still plenty of light for a safe landing, but I liked the photographic result more than the nominally "realistic" scene.
I had to beat feet out of there before any of Chaos' thugs spotted me and messed me up for invading his crib.
