Fish Beware

Another sunny day but comfortably warmer than yesterday. After breakfast at the diner we went for a walk then stopped along the river in several favorite places. The Cobbosseecontee Stream, which empties into the Kennebec, proved to be the most active thanks to two ospreys :)) • This one worked it hard circling and diving into the water but surfaced each time with empty talons. It flew out of sight several times too but always returned for another try. Finally, right before we left, he caught an alewife (river herring) which are now just beginning to run. He gets an A+ for effort! His partner, however, preferred flying over hunting • Our hearts are happy :) • Peace & Love
