Lifeboat Launch

Just a practice, I think. It always gathers a crowd when it's launched. I used to live in a flat across from this view. The slipway is just across the road, so I was often woken by the flashing lights and rumbling noise of the lifeboat rolling up the road, down the slipway and to the sea. Even in the wee hours a crowd would gather at the top of the slipway to watch it go off. God love them, brave lads.

Had a 'funny' couple of days with dad rushed into hospital early hours yesterday morning with a suspected heart attack....long story short, the final outcome being acute indigestion! He likes to keep us on our toes!!
