Nothing like seeing an Eagle...
This eagle was on a tree near work, trying to get the crows to stop bothering him / her... Not bad for a point and shoot camera..
As I mentioned yesterday, a little more info of what is going on. It has been 10 months since my mom fell, since she spent multiple days in the ICU, not knowing if she will live, how she will live, if she would recover and… She is strong but the body is weak. Healthy but unable to move very much – stuck in wheelchair..
Since that time I have taken over the general care of the house I grew up in while my sister has taken over the fiances of our mom. I pay the garbage, lights etc.. while my sister pays the medical / care bills.. Despite my mom’s retirement, excellent healthcare, my sister getting support of the spouse of a veteran (our dad) and… it only adds up to about 2/5th of the cost of my mom monthly care. Our parents had set up a home equity loan to help pay for my dads medical care – which over time my mom paid off and now she is using to pay for her care. This will only last into early next year. My sister and I are even considering dipping into our savings depending on how our mom is doing… So much depends on how her health is. We have agreed to keep her in excellent private care – knowing that institutionalizing her would be much cheaper – but she deserves the best especially considering the circumstances.
All this leads to that when we have to sell the house to continue for mom’s care, I and Tiger will have to move. As I have written on blip, I lost my job the second week of January and I really don’t like the one I have right now. I am planning on moving about 80 miles south – so I can go back to the position I had (if there is an opening) or work somewhere near until there is one. Apartments are not cheap in Washington and neither are mini homes… I am hoping to find a place where I can save up some money and by a mini home someday.. or maybe an RV and see the country again… 10, 15 years from now seems so far away.. (another little side note – I have been extremely blessed as for the first 20 years of my career, I have been able to take a month off of work every two years for a vacation somewhere – the trade off was working later into life – I wouldn’t trade that time for anything as you never know when your time is up)
So that’s the basics of what is going on… I plan to keep blipping but it might not be every day. Right now Tiger is trying to get me to play so…
