Ok you go off to work
I’ll see to everything here. I’m up pretty early to get to fareshare, as there’s only a bus for about 1/3rd of the way. After breakfast she settles down to a morning of hard sleeping, exactly on the spot where I was sleeping. I think it’s still a bit warm. A good morning at Fareshare, though now all our asylum seeker volunteers are gone:( I think they were moved out of hotels in Bristol and onto some kind of ex army camp in south wales. Very unkind, especially to the children, who had started school, made friends, and begun to learn English. I really don’t understand why we have to be so cruel to people who have already suffered so much.
In the evening I went to the cinema with my film friend H, but this time we saw a live stream of a play at the National Theatre. It was “Nye” starring an astonishingly good Michael Sheen, about Anuerin Bevan - his childhood, political life, and the foundation of the NHS. Really very good.
I have added an extra, not taken by me, of Kew, from yesterday. There was an area where grass has been allowed to grow tall, and tulips have been planted as single flowers with quite large gaps between them. It looked amazing - the stems were hidden so it looked like the flowers were floating. It got me thinking about two things, one an impressionist painting with blobs of colour, and two, when the shone shone briefly, like a mass of Chinese lanterns. It’s was spectacular - a planting scheme I’d never seen before. For some reason I can’t add it. I’ll try again later.haha the only way I could add it was to email it to myself and then take a photo of my I pad:)
