Blossoming

Another good sleep and only really two coughing fits today, one when I first got up and the second as I stood in the cold air waiting to go into a restaurant this evening, so not too bad!
Spent a lot of the morning formatting and composing the order of service and I got it printed up easily at the little print shop round the corner. Finished the cleaning and ironing, re-read papers for the next couple of days, and chatted to T about arrangements over the next few days.
Walked over the Meadows to go and have my nails done at lunchtime, and to get wrapping paper and a card for Mt&H’s birthdays soon. The blossom is now in all its full glory…shame that rain is forecast for the weekend as I think it might all get blown or washed away. Looking gorgeous today though in the lovely sunshine and there was less of a bite to the wind so it was lovely to be out.
Carried on packing, reading and faffing about til it was time to go to meet R at the new Indian restaurant round the corner that’s having a soft launch before its formal opening. Delicious food…we had lamb chops and some tandoori chicken with vegetable side dish, rice and naan. We were stuffed since the portions were huge but it was all very tasty and we chatted on about all sorts ….staff meetings, rubric writing workshops, Abbey Road, Gen Z, open days, graphic scores, gender fluidity, elderly parents, autonomy and polyamory! Lot of laughter in between the eating and talking, then I came home and went straight to bed…I’m whacked!
