Life Cycle

It was a black and white day. The sun never came out at all. I scratched around in the yard for a couple hours, trying to get clear of all the mess the gophers created--plants buried under piles of dirt and sinkholes underfoot. I'm making slow but sure progress. Being so close to the dirt makes me realize we'll have to start irrigating soon. Even though it feels like a storm, I don't think we're going to get much more rain til the fall.
