Marilyn

I planted my tulips pretty late .. in February or was it March.  I find the mice eat them if I plant them in the autumn so always plant in the spring.  This year though they are rather stunted.. but are going to be beautiful anyway (if it ever warms up I will be sitting out there enjoying them). High of 9C again today.. brr.. 
A quiet day.. my back is causing problems.. and I am feeling pretty bleak but must pull myself together and try to do a bit each day and hope it improves soon. 
While I was out taking this photo I used Chirp ( oops I meant) Merlin to listen to the birdsong.  The other day it picked up a Goldcrest but I never saw it.. and today it heard a Barn Swallow.. So did I but again I didn't see it.  Hurrah that they have arrived finally.  I hope we will gradually build our numbers again.. they have been decimated round here.
