Jim Clark Museum
A beautiful sunny day
We have been so blessed with wonderful Spring weather. We went to Duns in the Scottish Borders, about 20 miles away. We visited the Jim Clark Museum, which chronicles Jim’s life as a local Farmer and Double F1 World Champion.
He was killed in a Formula Two racing accident in April 1968 in Hockenheimring, West Germany. At the time of his death, aged 32, he had won more Grand Prix races (25) and achieved more pole positions (33) than any other driver. The Blip is a stylised photo of Jim and his racing car.
After the visit we took a back road back to the Caravan. ‘Back road ’ doesn’t do it justice - it was a very narrow, up and down drive through Upland farming country but gave amazing views, with lots of new born lambs.
