Red-bellied Woodpecker

You can see the eponymous red belly!!! I've seen an occasional red-bellied woodpecker with more of a red belly than this, but also others with less. It's certainly not the first thing you'd notice about the bird. But I suppose if you were looking at a dead bird, back in the day, that might be the thing that distinguished it from other woodpeckers with red on their heads.
