Super dad !

A day spent with Freya, how can a child of 21 months have so much to say !
She didn’t nap yesterday which made it a long day as I had hoped for a nap too . We took her and Bramble for a drive via the vets . She fell asleep eventually, phew !
We drove home , NC was happy to sit in the car with her while she dreamt . We parked up , I was all ready to dive inside to have my own Power Nap and then…… Bramble spotted a cat ! She went bananas, that was the end of everyone’s potential for a nap . I feel really tired at the moment, I’m hoping it’s just the post viral recovery period . It’s a long time since I’ve felt so unwell .
The photo was taken as we walked home from school . We usually pick Arthur up but their daddy tries to be there too as often as he can , one of the benefits of working from home. Arthur is always keen to ride home on someone’s shoulders or back . He like’s the physical contact with loved adults after a day being his adapted self . A whirlwind at home , quiet and compliant at school . Is that ok ? My children were the same !
Freya is still enjoying the independence of being able to walk by herself. So is always keen to walk. Both children were very pleased to get some daddy time !
Once home he goes back to work and we entertain until the end of the working day .
How lucky we are to have them living so near to us. I felt grateful every day yet at the same time wish we had more of this everyday contact with our other two grandchildren. Thank goodness for Whatsapp and Facetime.
