Radiators

After the flooded carpet disaster a few weeks ago, I decided that it would be best to have all of the radiator valves replaced. They have been there for forty years or more so probably have done their turn.
Today was the day, and we ended up with three plumbers running up and down from loft to radiators, going to fetch special spanners, and entertaining Bonnie!
This evening all the radiators are piping hot as never before, which makes me think they needed doing.
We now have a special valve on this one which means the system can be drained without needing to be unscrewed! So that will be useful in forty years time won’t it…..
