Artichoke

I've never been a big fan of artichokes. The outer bits dipped in butter are nice, but then so is almost anything dipped in butter. But these home grown ones, picked while still small and tender are delicious! You can eat the whole heart of them - no nasty prickly bits in the middle. Very tasty indeed!

I see there is another baby one coming in the bottom left hand corner too . . . !
