Birthday

Running in the arboretum - the park - and noticed what I thought was a washing line surrounding Fluffy the ‘oss. On closer inspection it is part of the preparations for the 150th birthday celebrations. There was a poster showing admission fees from that time. 2 pennies for an adult admission, £1 1shilling (a Guinea) for a family and their servant if they went with the family. There were a lot of big houses nearby so I’m sure that was quite common. Thankfully it’s free now!
