Sideways rain

Ready at out before 8am on a very cold windy morning. Chatting again headed off in the wrong direction, but rectified early!
Drove to Hunstanton to the area from the lighthouse to the gardens. Parked up and realised people were wearing Dry robes to walk their dogs along the clifftop. I suggested this to Michelle as we'd bought ours in case we had a dip! When the car door nearly blew off when she opened it, we agreed on wearing our robes to walk.
We met a smallgroup of runners/walkers including a few visiting and a gentleman doing his first. Everyone was chatty and friendly. The course was 3 and a half laps, from the gardens to the lighthouse and back. The track to the lighthouse was a gradual up, with wind in your face, so coming back down to the gardens was more....pleasurable! The rain started and at one point I think it may have been sleet. I ended up running, as I can't keep up with Michelle's fast walk, and was met by the dog Rose at the finish line in 39th position....there were only 46 taking part!!
Feeling accomplished,  and slightly warm, we had breakfast overlooking the sea, smoked salmon and scrambled egg muffin. I'd never envisaged running in my dry robe!
We had a mooch through the gardens, not looking their best and into the small town, checking out estate agents windows!
We then went to Le Strange arts and craft barns in Old Hunstanton for a little mooch before starting the journey home. We didn't get far, stopping off for great coffee, but disappointing cake at Thornham Deli.
A lovely drive taking me through some pretty villages around Bury St Edmunds and connecting to Tollesbury, Goldhanger then Heybridge, just after 3.30.
Back in Chelmsford,  FK had got back from his Cadet open day and MrK was working on his second day of a four day match. We both went round to see him and the boys and had a giggle with them for an hour or so. Windy, but lovely sunshine. What a great wknd.
