South Uist and Eriskay.

Our younger son (and partner as caddy!) played golf at Askernish Golf club in South Uist. A bucket list venue. Designed by Old Tom Morrison in 1800s, (he designed the Old Course at St Andrews, and more), it’s iconic.

We stayed in with the wee family in the morning. And we drove down to meet the golfers they finished. We all congregated for lunch at West Kilbride.

Afterwards we went to one of Scotland’s most historic beaches, Prince’s Beach on Eriskay. It’s where Prince Charles Edward Stuart's landed on 23 July 1745. We love Eriskay. No causeway walk today. Impractical with our grandson in the backpack, even though road quiet. One for another day.
