Sunny Boulder

On my walk this morning I stopped to peer down at the beck from a little road bridge…the sun was shining through the trees and lighting up this mossy boulder. Couldn’t resist a snap….

We have travelled down to Daventry today - the M1 has miles and miles of roadworks with 50 mph speed limits - so it seemed to take forever (over 4  hours instead of the expected 2 and a quarter….). There was also a broken down vehicle on one of the Smart Motorway sections and despite plenty of advance warning of a lane closure (lane 1) people were still moving into that lane and then having to suddenly brake and move out again when they encountered the hazard…this caused others to slow and the traffic to back up quickly!! Some people have no sense. It just added to the delays….grrrrrr….

Mrs madwill is on a weekend sewing retreat in a hotel - and I have come down to stay and am hoping to get some walking in while she is sewing!! However, the weather forecast is not great…so we shall see.
