RAF rescue jeep

Another morning in the museum, this time on reception. We had a steady stream of visitors, braving our chilly site.

The jeep would have been used as a rescue vehicle if any pilot got into trouble in the area surrounding Montrose. Unfortunately due to a mix of unforgiving landscape, weather and inexperienced pilots there were quite a few aviation fatalities at Montrose.
