Dutch weekend

Having a weekend away in Amsterdam, and it turns out that tomorrow is Kings Day , which commemorates King William Alexander’s birthday.

Apparently, it’s a big day of national celebration and another 800,000 people are expected to descend on the city, a majority dressed in orange.

Anyway, they are getting ready for the big day tomorrow.

The efficiency of Amsterdam’s integrated public transport system continues to impress. Loads of cyclists too, and not a helmet or piece of lycra in sight.
