The big reveal

It has taken quite a while for the Beech buds to decide it is time to open up and reveal the leaves - perhaps it has just been too cold, we had frost this morning! 

But at last a few are beginning to unfurl. Whatever the tree, I love to see this happening, but with the Beech it is rather elegantly done.
