The Islington Tunnel

Day 2 of my London visit. Another lunch but I got there early and did some exploring. The Regents Canal - what a peaceful oasis, not far at all from Angel Islington tube station. It was like another world. At the end you can see the Islington Tunnel which opened in 1818. Its 878 m long and comes out again near Kings Cross station. There is no tow path, the original barge  crew had to "leg it" through the tunnel.
