My dad's watch

Mum posted this to me and it was waiting for me in a package after work. It is precious to wear and poignantly reminds me how precious each moment is. My loving and dearly loved dad has dementia and it's heartbreaking. 

TIME
You were the one 
I wanted most 
to stay.
But time could not 
be kept at bay.
The more it goes, 
the more it's gone, 
the more it takes away.
