And breathe….

Woke early and we had breakfast together whilst checking papers (unfortunately I’d picked up plum jam to bring over instead of marmalade), then walked round in bright sunshine to catch the bus into town. Chatted over the plans in our pre-meet then straight into the Board meeting. Great discussion section that continued the upbeat feel of yesterday, then a straightforward run through of the rest of the business before some lunch and a concert to round the morning off. Of course I started coughing in the middle though and had to go out for a while. Managed to come back for the Britten/Auden songs and an encore of Sally Gardens which was lovely.
Dashed down to the station with CR and we just caught the 2.15pm train home…chatting non stop as usual. I walked up home…still bright sunshine which will be lovely for my homeswap guests…picked up the car and drove to A’s. I arrived before she got back from work and played with Paisley a bit in the garden (although a bit chilly), then caught up on email from the past couple of days. Once A was home I made some salmon stir fry with rice then we both collapsed onto the sofa for some Gardeners’ World and similar TV whilst we drank tea and ate chocolate! Both feeling relieved it’s a Friday night!
