Bully
There I was, sitting peacefully out of the chilly drizzle at Coughton Court, when I spotted a swan, gliding majestically along the lake.
Then I realised……he was trying to scare off a Greylag goose who appeared to be minding his own business.
I hadn’t been to Coughton Court since well before the pandemic. It was very different. The gardens are as glorious as I remember, but you can hardly see the outside of the house for the scaffolding as they are having the roof sorted.
I hadn’t realised until recently that they have a popular bluebell wood. I braved the drizzle and enjoyed strolling through (with Merlin identifying lots of birdsong). It’s far smaller and far less spectacular than Felley Priory, but they are well worth a visit.
