As Hampton court was having a free entry weekend we decided to go even though the forecast was for rain. it was actually quite a nice morning. We wandered through the courtyards to the orangerie cafe where we had a coffee and sausage roll. the place was really busy. A regular commented he had never seen it so busy. we recon the cafe?restaurant takings we're up 200%. People just wont pay top walk round the gardens and why should they. I believe Queen Victoria gave it to the people and the Royal Palaces decided to charge after the covid lockdown. people came from far and wide . The tulip displays whilst not at their best were still good in part. This is one of the two shires pulling the cart. I imagine takings were well up there as well.
On the way home did a Costco shop then lunch and a cheeky coffee before dinner this evening which consisted of Jacket potatoes and ribs. Easy 

Face looking better but still unable to lift anything heavier than a coffee!!!
