Spring

Today's walk took us up to Hollins Cross and along the top towards Lose Hill. The top path was heaving - we hadn't expected it to be quite so busy - so we didn't follow the procession to the top of Lose Hill but skirted around through some woods and dropped down through pastures to Hope. After soup & coffee (I don't think that's what's generally meant by "liquid lunch"!) we returned to Castleton along the river valley.

It was the second day without rain - yay! - though it was grey and hazy today, not good for photographing the view, so I concentrated on the various locals we met. The final path was muddy in places but luckily the campsite has a dog wash so S has relatively clean legs now.
